Improper missing-value handling in Ericsson Packet Core Gateway before 1.30 allows remote attackers to degrade service via crafted messages. Ericsson has not disclosed the affected parser or message field; the published detail establishes only that missing values in specially crafted messages trigger crashes. Unauthenticated adjacent-network access and a continuous message stream are required, and the gateway recovers after the attack stops.
