Authenticated asset disclosure via missing controller authorization
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Missing authorization in Statamic CMS before 5.73.6 and 6.0.0-alpha.1 through 6.2.4 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted assets. The PDF, SVG, and thumbnail control-panel controllers return asset contents after resolving the asset but do not authorize the view action. A valid account with control-panel access is required, but permission to view the targeted asset container is not; exposure is limited to asset content and metadata.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
