CVE-2026-25605

File deletion via unvalidated target path

Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026

Path traversal in Siemens SICAM SIAPP SDK before 2.1.7 allows local users to delete files or sockets through an unsafe deletion target. The affected deletion routine accepts a caller-controlled path or target without validating its intended scope; Siemens has not identified the API or function. Exploitation requires improper API use or missing hardening, and deletion is limited to objects removable by the affected process, causing data loss or service interruption.
