Path traversal in Linksys MR9600 1.0.4.205530 and MX4200 1.0.13.210200 allows physically proximate attackers to execute commands as root. The /etc/init.d/service_tsmb.sh script constructs a /tmp/anon_smb mount point from an unneutralized USB partition name, so ../ segments redirect the mount into a scheduled-script directory. Exploitation requires a prepared USB drive to be inserted into the router; mounting it under /tmp/cron/cron.everyminute runs attacker-supplied scripts as root within 60 seconds.
