Credential exposure in Metronik MePIS RM before 8.2.0007 build 15 allows local users to decrypt stored domain passwords. The MxWebServer component embeds the cryptographic key in Mx.Web.ComponentModel.dll and uses it to encrypt passwords stored in the database. The password-storage option must be enabled, and exploitation requires local application-environment or database access; recovered credentials grant access to connected ICS/OT systems.
