Authenticated code execution via malformed RESTORE payload
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in RedisBloom before 2.8.20 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted RESTORE payload. RedisBloom's RDB-loading path insufficiently validates attacker-controlled serialized values, causing integer overflow and heap out-of-bounds read/write access. Exploitation requires the module to be loaded and the authenticated account to have permission to execute RESTORE; code runs in the Redis server context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
