CVE-2026-25588Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via malformed RESTORE payload

Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Redis RedisTimeSeries before 1.12.14 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via RESTORE. Its RESTORE deserialization path insufficiently validates serialized time-series values before memory access, so malformed input reaches unsafe heap operations. Exploitation requires the module to be loaded and the account to have RESTORE permission, and successful code runs in the Redis server context.
