Memory disclosure or crash via unchecked channel counts
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in iccDEV before 2.3.1.3 allows local users to disclose memory or crash a process via a malformed ICC profile. CIccXform3DLut::Apply uses profile-controlled channel counts to index a fixed 16-element float array without validating those counts. Processing the crafted profile in a consuming application is required; the demonstrated result is an out-of-bounds read and process failure.
