Service outage via unbounded cover-art resizing
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Navidrome before 0.60.0 allows remote attackers to crash the server with an oversized cover-art request. The getCoverArt and shared-image handlers pass the unbounded size value into resizeImage, which allocates the requested dimensions and caches the result. A normal account or valid sharing token reaches the flaw; memory exhaustion terminates the service, while a completed resize can fill the cache disk.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
