API token theft via unsanitized song comments
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Navidrome before 0.60.0 allows attackers to steal a UI user's API token through malicious song metadata. The MultiLineTextField component passes each comment line verbatim to React's dangerouslySetInnerHTML when SongInfo or AlbumInfo renders metadata. Exploitation requires an untrusted song to be indexed and a UI user to open its song or album information; injected JavaScript then runs in that user's browser and can read the token from local storage.
