CVE-2026-25576

Heap-data disclosure via oversized raw-image extraction

Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026

Heap buffer over-read in ImageMagick before 7.1.2-15 and 6.9.13-40 allows local users to disclose heap data through raw-image processing. The BGR, CMYK, GRAY, RAW, RGB, and YCbCr readers iterate to the extracted image width rather than the smaller backing-canvas width when -extract exceeds -size, reading beyond allocated pixels. Exploitation requires local control of the command arguments and raw input; the published impact is heap-data disclosure without integrity or availability loss.
