CVE-2026-25572

Process crash via unchecked input lengths

Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026

Stack overflow in Siemens SICAM SIAPP SDK before 2.1.7 allows local users to crash its server component by sending oversized input. The server component uses certain input variables without enforcing maximum lengths, allowing oversized values to overflow its stack. Exploitation requires improper API use or absent hardening; a successful attempt crashes the process and disrupts the customer-developed SIAPP or simulation environment.
