Code execution via undisclosed out-of-bounds write
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens SICAM SIAPP SDK before 2.1.7 allows local users to execute arbitrary code or crash the process. Siemens states that the SDK writes beyond an intended buffer but does not disclose the affected API, function, input, or buffer operation. The flaw is exploitable only when the API is used improperly or hardening is absent, exposing SIAPP data, the developed SIAPP, or its simulation environment.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
