IP spoofing in Ghost-CLI before 1.30.1 allows remote attackers to bypass rate limits through a forged X-Forwarded-For header. The default SSL and non-SSL Nginx templates preserve client-supplied addresses with $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for instead of replacing the header with $remote_addr. No authentication is required; impact is limited to self-hosted Linux deployments whose generated Nginx configuration retains the vulnerable directive.
