Unauthenticated data extraction via unescaped query input
Published Feb 6, 2026 · Updated Feb 6, 2026
SQL injection in Payload before 3.73.0 allows remote attackers to extract sensitive data through JSON or richText field queries. The @payloadcms/drizzle adapter embeds user-controlled JSON or richText filter values directly into SQL without escaping. Exploitation requires a Drizzle database adapter and a readable field of either type; exposed reset tokens enable account takeover.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
