Authenticated file deletion via unrestricted decoded path
Published Feb 16, 2026 · Updated Feb 16, 2026
Path traversal in ZenTao 21.7.0 through 21.7.8 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files via filePath. The editor controller's delete() method Base64-decodes filePath and passes the result to file_exists() and unlink() without restricting it to an allowed directory. Exploitation requires an authenticated session and the editor feature to be activated; deletion is limited to files writable by the server process.
