Credential forgery via unchecked message address length

Out-of-bounds write in munged 0.5 through 0.5.17 allows local users to disclose MAC key material and forge arbitrary credentials. The _msg_unpack() function copies an untrusted one-byte addr_len value into a four-byte address field before validating the message type. Any local user who can connect to munged's Unix socket can corrupt daemon state, extract the MAC subkey, and impersonate any user to dependent services.
