CVE-2026-25505Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrative API access via hardcoded JWT key

Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026

Authentication bypass in Bambuddy before 0.1.7 allows remote attackers to gain administrative API access through forged JWTs. The backend signs HS256 tokens with a source-embedded default key, while more than 200 API routes omit permission-enforcement checks. Network reachability is the only gate; forged tokens provide administrator identity on default-key deployments, while unprotected routes expose print-management data and functions without any token.
