CVE-2026-25503Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Profile-processing interruption via invalid image-encoding enum

Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026

Type confusion in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows remote attackers to interrupt profile-processing applications via a malformed ICC profile. CIccTagEmbeddedHeightImage::Validate loads an unrecognized 32-bit profile value as icImageEncodingType even though the enum defines only PNG and TIFF values, triggering undefined behavior. Exploitation requires a user or application to process attacker-controlled profile data; the record does not specify whether interruption takes the form of a crash or hang.
