Stored XSS via raw Markdown rendering
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Stored XSS in Pixel & Tonic Craft Commerce 4.0.0-RC1 through 4.10.0 and 5.0.0 through 5.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to run script. The orders/_history.twig template passes each order status history message through Twig’s md filter, which converts Markdown while preserving attacker-supplied raw HTML. A user with control-panel, Commerce, order-management, and order-edit permissions can store the payload; execution requires another user to view the order, and database theft additionally requires that viewer to have database-backup utility access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
