Authenticated command execution via unsanitized UPnP settings
Published Feb 16, 2026 · Updated Feb 16, 2026
Command injection in Shenzhen WayOS Technology FBM-220G 24.10.19 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through UPnP settings. The rc binary's sub_40F820 function reads upnp_waniface, upnp_ssdp_interval, and upnp_max_age from NVRAM, inserts them into an upnp.sh shell command without sanitization, and runs it through jhl_system. UPnP must be enabled, and the attacker must be able to alter stored configuration; injected commands execute when the service starts, including after reboot.
