Authenticated local file disclosure via MEDIA path staging
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Path traversal in OpenClaw 2026.1.30 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read local files through crafted MEDIA tokens. The MEDIA token parser accepts an arbitrary local path, and inbound staging copies that source without restricting it to the media directory. Exploitation requires influence over agent output and discloses only files readable by the OpenClaw process to the requesting channel.
