Unauthenticated plugin migration via missing capability checks
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
Missing authorization in Elementor Web Accessibility 4.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger plugin migration or rollback. REST permission callbacks for migration and plugin-status operations return access without checking the manage_options capability. Unauthenticated requests can alter migration state or roll back a completed migration, affecting plugin operation without granting broader site control.
