Unauthenticated payment bypass via booking confirmation AJAX
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Missing authorization in Metagauss EventPrime 4.2.8.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter PayPal booking confirmations. The ep_confirm_paypal_order AJAX handler accepts unauthenticated requests and checks ownership only when the booking has a nonempty user value before confirming the supplied booking. Exploitation requires valid booking and PayPal order identifiers and can create unauthorized confirmation and payment-state changes.
