Authenticated OS command execution via delete_list
Published Feb 16, 2026 · Updated Feb 16, 2026
Command injection in Wavlink WL-WN579A3 20210219 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands via a crafted delete_list value. The DeleteMac handler in /cgi-bin/wireless.cgi formats the POST parameter into a string and passes it through sub_404B58 to system without neutralizing shell syntax. A valid management session is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-selected commands with the firmware web process privileges.
