Local memory corruption via asynchronous parameter race
Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026
Memory corruption in the Qualcomm Snapdragon DSP service allows local users to corrupt memory via asynchronous input parameters. The DSP service checks asynchronous input parameters, then uses values that can be modified between validation and consumption. Low-privilege local access is required; Qualcomm has not disclosed whether the corruption yields code execution, data access, or only service interruption.
