Secure Boot bypass via unverified EFI loading
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Secure Boot bypass in EAZ Solution Eazy Fix 12.9 allows local users with administrator access to execute unsigned pre-OS code. The Microsoft-signed shdloader.efi bootloader manually parses Shield.efi and jumps to its entry point without signature or integrity verification. Administrator access to the EFI System Partition and a reboot are required; replacing Shield.efi permits persistent code execution before Windows security controls start.
