Authenticated code execution via malformed RESTORE payload
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
Invalid memory access in Redis allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted RESTORE serialized payload. The RESTORE deserialization path insufficiently validates serialized values, producing double-free, integer-overflow, or out-of-bounds heap states. Access requires authentication and ACL permission for RESTORE; successful exploitation runs code in the redis-server context and can expose data or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
