SQL injection via unparameterized category deletion query
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
SQL injection in PEAR pearweb before 1.33.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via a crafted category id. The delete logic in include/pear-database-category.php places an identifier accepted by public_html/admin/category-manager.php directly into SQL without parameterization. Access to the category manager workflow is required, and successful injection modifies the category deletion query.
