Authenticated DOM injection via unvalidated tag color
Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026
HTML injection in FileRise before 3.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter its DOM through a crafted file-tag color value. The saveFileTag endpoint accepts the color attribute without validation, and FileModel stores the tag unchanged for later rendering. The attacker needs write access to the target file; resulting elements act only when another user visits the folder and actively interacts with them.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
