Process-memory disclosure via unchecked code-cache bounds
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Samsung Escargot allows local users to disclose process memory through a crafted code-cache buffer. In affected commit 97e8115ab1110bc502b4b5e4a0c689a71520d335, CodeCacheReader copies serialized lengths and resolves indexes and relocation offsets without first validating them against buffer and table bounds. Reachability requires code-cache support, which is disabled by default, and attacker-controlled cache data; the resulting disclosure and process interruption remain within the embedding process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
