Deserialization of untrusted data in Samsung Escargot allows local users to abort an embedding process through the public Serializer API. Serializer::deserializeFrom accepts invalid type bytes that reach an assertion and forged SharedArrayBuffer pointers that are immediately dereferenced. An attacker must supply serialized bytes to a local application exposing this API; the demonstrated consequence is a process crash.
