Unauthenticated charger impersonation via OCPP WebSocket
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Authentication bypass in all versions of CTEK Charge Portal allows remote attackers to impersonate charging stations through the OCPP WebSocket endpoint. The endpoint accepts a known or discovered station identifier without authenticating the connecting charger, then exchanges OCPP commands as that station. No credentials or user interaction are required, exposing charging controls and backend-reported charging network data to unauthorized manipulation.
