Remote file write via unsanitized SSH filename

Path traversal in the SSH node in affected n8n releases allows remote attackers to write files outside the selected remote directory. The upload operation appends attacker-controlled binary metadata filenames to the configured SSH path without stripping Unix or Windows directory components or null bytes. Reachability requires a known workflow with an unauthenticated file-upload endpoint feeding an SSH upload; the resulting remote file write can enable code execution on the SSH server.
