Unauthenticated profile overwrite via volunteer form submission
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Missing authorization in Wired Impact Volunteer Management 2.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite user profile data. The volunteer signup path applies submitted first name, last name, and phone values to existing non-volunteer accounts without enforcing the role restriction. No WordPress account is required; a crafted public form submission can alter those profile fields but does not grant a role or password change.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
