Subscriber-level notice dismissal via missing capability check
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Missing authorization in ApproveMe WP Forms Signature Contract Add-On 1.8.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to dismiss notices. The notice-dismissal handler accepts the requested state change without checking whether the caller has the required WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized modification of notice visibility rather than access to contracts or signatures.
