DOM-based XSS via unescaped widget JSON attributes
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
DOM-based XSS in Crocoblock JetElements 2.7.12.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into site pages. Multiple widgets place contributor-controlled JSON data-settings values into generated HTML without adequate sanitization or attribute escaping, allowing the browser to interpret crafted data as executable markup. Contributor access is required, and exploitation succeeds only after a privileged user interacts with the crafted content; script execution is confined to that visitor's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
