DDNS record corruption via unvalidated WAN-IP response

Improper certificate validation in ASUSTOR ADM 4.1.0 through 4.3.3.ROF1 and 5.0.0 through 5.1.1.RCI1 allows remote attackers to corrupt DDNS records. The DDNS WAN-IP lookup uses plain HTTP or accepts an external server's unvalidated TLS certificate, so a forged response supplies the address published to DDNS. Exploitation requires a network position that permits interception of the lookup; it changes the hostname's resolved IP address without exposing data or interrupting the NAS.
