Device availability impact via security-module use-after-free
Published Feb 6, 2026 · Updated Feb 6, 2026
Use-after-free in Huawei EMUI and HarmonyOS security modules allows local users to affect device availability through local exploitation. Huawei has not disclosed the affected object, lifetime error, or code path that accesses memory after it is freed. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access and affects the specified EMUI 13.0.0, 14.0.0, 14.2.0, and 15.0.0 and HarmonyOS 3.1.0, 4.0.0, 4.2.0, and 4.3.0 releases; Huawei has not described the resulting failure mode.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
