CVE-2026-24901Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Private draft theft via unchecked restoration ownership

Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026

IDOR in Outline before 1.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and seize deleted private drafts through the restore API. The /api/documents.restore endpoint accepts another user's deleted draft ID and an attacker-controlled collectionId without verifying original ownership, then restores the draft and assigns access to the attacker. Team membership and the target draft UUID are required; successful exploitation exposes private content and strips the original owner of access.
