CVE-2026-2490Hinoki check available

Local file disclosure via transfer symlink following

Published Feb 20, 2026 · Updated Feb 20, 2026

Link-following in RustDesk Client for Windows 1.4.1 allows local users to read arbitrary files through the Transfer File feature. The Windows server-side transfer path follows an uploaded symbolic link when reading files instead of confining reads to the submitted transfer path. Low-privileged code execution on the host is required, and successful exploitation discloses files readable as SYSTEM without modifying them.
