CVE-2026-24889Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Contract-state corruption via unchecked range-bound arithmetic

Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026

Integer overflow in soroban-sdk before 22.0.9, 23.0.0 through 23.5.0, or 25.0.0 through 25.0.1 allows remote attackers to corrupt contract state. Bytes::slice, Vec::slice, and Prng::gen_range convert inclusive or excluded bounds with bare addition or subtraction that wraps at integer limits and sends unintended ranges to the host. Exploitation requires a contract compiled with overflow checks disabled and attacker-controlled or computed boundary values; results include empty or full-range operations and unintended random-number ranges.
