CVE-2026-24873

Memory disclosure via unchecked GIF prefix index

Published Jan 27, 2026 · Updated Jan 27, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Lua Player Plus Vita before r6 allows context-dependent attackers to read memory or crash the runtime through a crafted GIF. The read_image_data() function in source/include/gifdec.c uses an LZW table entry prefix as an array index without confirming that it is smaller than table->nentries. Exploitation requires user interaction to process a malformed GIF; the invalid lookup exposes runtime memory or terminates the interpreter.
