Stored XSS via rich-text module description
Published Jan 27, 2026 · Updated Jan 27, 2026
Stored XSS in DNN Platform before 9.13.10 and 10.0.0 through 10.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in the Persona Bar. A module package can mark its description as rich text, and the Persona Bar renders embedded script content without neutralizing it. Exploitation requires high-privilege module installation and a Persona Bar user to view the stored description, after which the script executes in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
