CVE-2026-24803Network attack vector

Service hang via non-prime modular square root

Published Jan 27, 2026 · Updated Jan 27, 2026

Infinite loop in coolsnowwolf LEDE through r25.10.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted non-prime modular input. The mt7615d security module's BN_mod_sqrt function searches without a reliable bound when the supplied modulus p is not prime, so its Tonelli-Shanks calculation does not terminate. No privileges or user interaction are required over the network, and successful triggering consumes the affected calculation path until service hangs.
