CVE-2026-24802Network attack vector

Service interruption via unchecked RPC stream write

Published Jan 27, 2026 · Updated Jan 27, 2026

Infinite-loop flaw in jsonrpc4j 1.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt hosting services through crafted RPC stream data. NoCloseOutputStream.write(byte[], int, int) forwards null arrays and unchecked offset and length values to the underlying stream instead of rejecting them first. Reachability depends on a consuming application passing attacker-influenced RPC output into that wrapper; the patch describes crashes and out-of-bounds reads, while the CNA classifies the defect as an infinite loop.
