CVE-2026-24801

Private-key extraction via unblinded ECDSA signing

Published Jan 27, 2026 · Updated Jan 27, 2026

Side-channel exposure in Ralim IronOS before 2.23-rc3 allows physically proximate attackers to extract a private ECC key during ECDSA signing. The ecc_dsa.c uECC_sign_with_k function passes no randomized initial Z value to EccPoint_mult, leaving scalar multiplication exposed to key-dependent power traces. Exploitation requires physical power-trace measurement while the device signs data; disclosure of the signing key enables signature forgery.
