Authenticated SSRF via substring hostname validation
Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
SSRF in the Remote Library of dFactory Responsive Lightbox & Gallery 2.7.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reach internal services. The ajax_upload_image function uses strpos to accept an expected hostname appearing anywhere within an attacker-controlled hostname instead of requiring an exact host match. Author-level WordPress access is required, and the server-originated request can expose information returned by reachable internal services.
