CVE-2026-24772Network attack vector

Access-token theft via unchecked synchronization backend URL

Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026

SSRF in OpenProject 17.0.0 through 17.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to steal access tokens through document collaboration. The Hocuspocus synchronization server decrypts a collaboration token, then sends it to a supplied backend URL without validating the destination. Exploitation requires an intercepted encrypted token and user interaction; the encrypted token remains valid for 24 hours and permits actions as the victim.
