CVE-2026-24720Network attack vector

Authenticated service degradation via resource exhaustion

Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in QNAP File Station 5 before 5.5.6.5243 allows remote authenticated users to degrade NAS responsiveness. QNAP has not published the File Station request, input, or operation that performs the unbounded allocation, but reports excessive CPU and memory consumption. A valid user account is required; exploitation degrades responsiveness and availability without a reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
